Yesterday I saw a miracle
I find some every day
They are so easy to spot
They can land or perch in trees
Or sing across invisible distances
Or float weightless across the sky
Now everything I learned so well
At schools before the closing bell
Is lost with words that I can't spell
While everything that I can see
Smiles openly in greeting me
Sitting here beneath the tree
